What we do — and do not do — with the information you entrust to us. Written to be read, not to protect us.
What this page covers
The presence-plus.ch website, its contact form and the partner application file. The app used day to day by older people and their families handles far more personal information: it is covered by a separate document, provided when joining.

What we collect,
and when.
Simply visiting the website
Nothing.
This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics tool and calls no external service — no Google, no statistics, no advertising. You will never see a banner asking you to accept cookies, because there are none. The only outward links are our Facebook pages, and they only open if you click them.
Like any web server, ours keeps a technical log (IP address, date, page requested, browser) needed for security and troubleshooting. It is not used to track you.
Writing to us through the contact form
Your first and last name, your email address, the profile you selected and your message.
This information reaches us by email and is not stored in any database. It is used solely to reply to you. Writing to Présence+ does not sign you up to any mailing list: that is a deliberate choice, written into the code of the form.
Submitting a partner application
Your organisation's details: name, type of activity, registered name, name of the person in charge, email, telephone, business identification, VAT and commercial register numbers, address, postcode, town, canton, and the introductory text you write.
Then, if you submit them, the documents in your file: signed charter, a copy of your liability insurance and any other useful document.
So that you do not have to copy this information out, we query the official business register (UID) kept by the Confederation. This data is public; we read it, we never write anything to it and we do not report your application to the register.
Why we need it
- To reply to you when you write to us
- To review your application, check that your organisation genuinely exists and prepare the documents to be signed
- To meet our legal obligations — accounting and contractual — once a partnership is agreed
- To keep our services secure and prevent misuse
Nothing else. Your data is neither sold, nor rented, nor used for advertising, nor exploited to profile you.
Who has access
The people in the Présence+ team handling your request, and no one else. Our technical providers — the company hosting our servers — can technically access the storage, with no right to use your data.
We use no American service for your data: no Google Analytics, no Mailchimp, no cloud storage from across the Atlantic. Our mail server is our own.
Where it is held
On our servers, in Europe.
Our servers are hosted by OVH in Strasbourg (France), within the European Union. France offers a level of data protection recognised as adequate by Switzerland, and the GDPR applies there. No data leaves Europe and none passes through the United States.
We say it plainly rather than writing «hosted in Switzerland»: hosting on Swiss soil is our goal, it is not yet in place. The project itself is Swiss, based in Bavois, and governed by Swiss law.
For how long
- Contact message — for the duration of the exchange, then deleted no later than twelve months after our last reply
- Unsuccessful application — deleted twelve months after our decision, unless you ask us to do so sooner
- Agreed partnership — for the whole duration of the collaboration, then ten years for the documents subject to the legal accounting retention requirement
- Technical server logs — six months at most
Your rights
It is your information. You stay in control.
- Know what data we hold about you, and obtain a copy of it
- Have anything inaccurate corrected
- Request its deletion
- Object to processing, or ask for it to be restricted
- Receive your data in a readable format, to take it elsewhere

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Bern — or, if you live in the European Union, the supervisory authority in your country.
How we protect it
- Every page and every submission goes through an encrypted connection (HTTPS)
- The documents you submit are stored outside the public area of the server: they cannot be reached from any web address
- The link that lets you submit your documents is personal and signed — it can be neither guessed nor built from your file number
- Access to the back office is personal and logged
- Health data belonging to older people is never accessible to partners
